Signature Abilities

Shatter: Val expends magical power to shatter a nearby gemstone, causing it to violently explode after a short delay, spraying deadly fragments in a small area.

Crystalline Condensation: Val's presence causes a thin layer of organic crystals to form on the surfaces of allies nearby. If left undisturbed, the layer will grow stronger and thicker, protecting the ally further. At any time, Val can expend magical power to accelerated the growth of the layer.

Dragon's Heart: Val creates a bond with an ally, sharing her draconic regeneration and damage resistance with her ally.

Crystallize: Val calls upon her heritage to temporarily petrify her enemy, changing it's molecular structure into that of a crystal.

Fracture: Val smashes the ground with her fist, causing massive crystals, or Gemstones to rupture from the ground after a short delay. These crystals retreat back into earth once the battle is over, or when Val wills it.

Radiance: Val cracks open a gemstone, gaining it's effects for a short moment while radiating a lesser version to allies or enemies around her.

Consume: Val grudgingly eats the flesh of another sentient being in order to replenish her magical powers. The stronger and fresher the individual is, the more magical power she gains.

Dragon's Breath: Val, like all dragons are able to utilize their breath weapons. In her case, its a brilliant chromatic flame that would burn, poison, and freeze her enemies at the same time.

Personality

Val is a strong, loyal and determined dragon. She values hard work, and a little fun along the way. She is often playful and Mischevious, but will be serious when the situation calls for it. Her primary motivation is to retrieve the golden scale. She is clever, clumsy, and very friendly.

She dislikes being betrayed, or lied to. She values freedom and loyalty.

Short Biography

Born to one of the most trusted advisors of the dragon king, Val was treated like a princess for the most of her young age. Although playful and mischevious, she was tolerated and loved for the most part. As she grew up, her wanderlust set in, rather than to tend to her duties to the court, she spent her time exploring the world, observing the mortal races, and sometimes help them a little.

Val was too a clever magister, tireless in her pursuit of lost, rare and forbidden tomes. No cursed temple was so foreboding, no cavern path so treacherous, that any concern for her own survival could dissuade her from entering if rumors hinted that some pamphlet of primordial lore might still survive in its depths.

As she found more lost lore and history, she begun to question the integrity and the organization of the Dragons. Her questions were always left unanswered, dismissed as the ravings of a child. That merely caused her to work harder to provide the proof that the elders wished to see.

However, even with proof, the elders dismissed Val, warning her of the path she was taking. Even this did not dissuade her. She provided proof after proof, asked questions after questions. Until the elders could take it no more of her. The elders labled her a heretic, and condemed her to exile.

It was a the day of her exile, that Val expected her father to speak out and help her. However he merely disowned Val, calling her a heretic with the rest. Her fate sealed, and her heart broken, The elders stripped Val of power and threw her into the mortal realm, where she would live out most of her days.

That only strenghtened her resolve. Even with a broken heart, she continued her search, soon discovering the existence of the one single indisputable artifact. The Golden Scale. She now seeks it, to prove all the elders wrong, and to regain her place amongst the dragons.
