The Aurelian Estate Empty
PostSubject: The Aurelian Estate   The Aurelian Estate Icon_minitimeSun Jul 29, 2012 7:58 pm

The private estate which belongs personally to the Aurelia family Household. Beyond the sturdy iron gates of the estate lies their private garden, filled with lush green fields filled with exotic plantlife and the most beautiful flowers where one can sooth their soul and achieve a high level of relaxation just by being there. In the centre of the courtyard lies the great manor of the Aurelian family. Due to its intricate design and infrastructure, one can easily mistaken it as a castle instead of a mansion.

On top of its magnificent appearance, its security system is also something that should not be taken lightly with. It has a high surveillance thanks to the many many guards patrolling the courtyard and the countless servants and maids doing their regular duties such as gardening or other household chores. And on top of that, the surrounding area around the estate is also covered with a type of boundary field capable of detecting any unwanted intruders and pinpointing their exact location within it. Anyone who bore any ill intent while within the boundary field are swiftly warned to the other denizens inside the area about the unknown presence, guards and servants alike. Many assassination and kidnapping attempts had failed because of this. The only way to past through this security measure is:

(a)if the person bore no evil purposes while in the said field, or
(b)if they were given special privileges by the Aurealia family themselves and were given free access to their domain

As such, evil-aligned people will have a pretty hard time infiltrating the estate.

((Eleanor A. Aurelia))

By the time she reached upon her home while greeting the servants working in the courtyard, she was suddenly informed that she was needed to see her father in the left hall by one of the maids as soon as she first set foot towards the manor. Dismissing her maid, she walked along the corridors towards the designated destination, knowing fully well why she was abruptly summoned. Upon reaching the hall, stood a very long table draped with white fabric along with neatly arranged chairs. At the far end of the table, sat Lord Matthias Aurelia while Lady Irlene sat beside him, obviously waiting for their daughter's return.

"You should have at least have your breakfast first before going outside, Elene," her Lord Father spoke, in a gentle yet commanding voice. That's where she noticed the assorted food placed on the table, which was obviously left untouched. Were they waiting for me? she wondered as she sat down on one of the chairs. "I'm sorry if I made you wait just for me, father, mother," she apologized.

"Now now, we can fret about these sort of things later. For now, let's enjoy our quality family time together," Lady Irlene said in a kind tone, obviously wanting them to forget about everything and enjoy their time as a family. With a sigh, Lord Matthias responded back to her, though the commanding tone in his voice was no longer present. "Honestly Irlene, you're being way too soft on her. I'm willing to bet that if I weren't around for a very long time, she'll be frequently wander off on her own for so long that she might even be used to the townsfolk's lifestyle by now," he said half-jokingly. "... Dad, I'm right here, you know," pouts Elene, though the offer does seem tempting. "Well, at least we all know where she inherits her carefree personality from," he said, looking accusingly at his wife. "Hey, what's that supposed to mean?!" Soon, the whole family laughed together and ate their breakfast while talking about various things, happily enjoying their quality time together.

((Eleanor A. Aurelia))

After the whole family had their breakfast, Elene still sat on her chair, alone with her Lord Father. Her mother is currently on a very important errand today and had been excused from the table earlier. Soon, Lord Matthias was the first to broke the silence.

"Well now that we've filled our appetite, there's something that I wish to discuss with you," stated her father, suddenly turning very serious.

Uggh, she knew exactly what he's going to talk about. It wasn't the first time she had tried to go to the town unnoticed, but it had no doubt made her parents worried sick over her. Placing her napkin on the table after she wiped off her mouth, she spoke up. "I'm sorry that I went out without my escorts, but..," She was about to continue on until her father raised one of his hands to motion her to stop. She thought that she was in deep trouble.... but her expectation was soon shattered as he only made a soft chuckle, seemingly amused.

"Haha, no. That's not why I've called you here for," He paused "Though I WILL be commenting on your behaviour the next time, so don't get your hopes up," Despite what he just said, Elene quietly made a sigh of relief. "For now however, there are far more pressing matters that I need to speak with you,"

"..And that would be?" she replied, listening to him intently. Whatever it is, it seems as though it is highly important, judging from how Lord Matthias react.

Shifting himself uncomfortably as though pondering about something, he soon replied. "... Have you ever heard of 'Dragon Heart Academy'?"

Dragon Heart Academy? Isn't that one of the most famous knight academy located in Tarkusza?. "Yes, I heard of that. Why?"

Clearing his throat, he explained, "Well if you must know, you can say that the current Grandmaster of the Academy are an old friend of mine. If memory serves me right, I had once promised him a few months ago that I'll be visiting his Academy during its next recruitment ceremony," He paused for a few moments to sip his tea. "And it just so happens that the ceremony is today."

Elene can probably guess what he was going to say, but kept quiet while listening intently just to be sure.

".. However, it also appears that I won't be able to make it there due to another urgent business that requires my attendance," A 'Clang' can be heard as he placed the teacup on its holder. "Although a promise is still a promise, and especially so since he is one of my acquaintances, so...," She had been anticipating the answer quite eagerly as her Lord Father seems somewhat reluctant. Finally, he spoke, "... I've decided that you, Lady Eleanor A. Aurelia, will be going there in my place, as a representative of the Aurelia Household," The moment that he had said, he noticed that there was something glimmering in her eyes. He just sighed, before adding, "Obviously, you'll be escorted by at least a dozen of your own personal guards on your way there. Also, despite these peaceful times, I advised to be careful just in case. You do know how worried Irlene will be should something happen to you," Unintentionally, he was also voicing out his concern as well.

Noticing them, she responded, "Don't worry, father. I'll try to be careful while travelling. And besides, I'm sure no one in their right mind would try to do anything with me with my guards around," Hehe, and all the while experiencing what it's like to be travelling outside of Razlarya for the first time, she noted to herself.

Elene noticed Lord Matthias sighing again, though whether in relief or in resignation she did not know. "I'm glad. If that's all, then you should prepare and make yourself presentable. The carriage should be here in any moment right now,"
